1975 Grumman American AA-5 Traveler: restored 2023–24, four new cylinders, new propeller, annual to February 2027, Aschaffenburg (DE)

The AA-5 Traveler is a light, honest four-seat tourer with a big sliding canopy, light controls and low running costs. This example was fully taken apart, restored and put back together in 2023–2024. Since then it has had four new cylinders, a new propeller, new leather upholstery and new placards. It has always been kept in a hangar.

In February 2026 the aircraft had its 1,000-hour inspection. It has also recently been through an LBA ACAM check, and the findings were documented and fixed. The annual inspection is valid until February 2027.

Condition and known issues
The engine is run on condition at approx. 2,255 h. All four cylinders were recently replaced. The starter and alternator were repaired and tested. The avionics are basic VFR equipment.
