I’d consider a partnership, but I’d want to talk about maintenance spending before talking about the purchase. What happens when one person wants an upgrade and another wants to keep costs down? I’d want that agreed early.
For someone expecting to fly around 50 hours a year, would you start with sole ownership or look for one or two partners?
Having the aircraft available when you want it sounds appealing, but so does sharing the bills. What would decide it for you?

Booking would be my first question. If everyone wants the same sunny weekends, sharing might be frustrating. I’d want to compare our actual plans, especially whether anyone expects to take the aircraft away for a week.
The week-long trip is a good example. An hourly booking calendar wouldn’t really tell you whether the arrangement works.
Would you still consider sharing if the other person’s flying plans were quite different from yours, or would you prefer someone with similar habits?
